the philosophy of asking
So while waiting for mimitaba, to proceed with our 3rd ED Sessions, would like to share a thought that should really not be left out unthinkable about. I got this from the Sunday Mass where I attended this afternoon, and the celebrant told a scenario:
Now, what's the shit?
It's about the effect of asking to the person being asked. Asking, not only in a form of an "interrogation" but also in a form of a "request". When you ask someone about something, you show respect to that person. In effect, that person feels that he/she is important. And the above scenario is possibly the simplest example in our everyday lives.
In the same way, it's how God asks us everyday, to do the best things we can, for ourselves, our family, friends and neighbors. It's like how He asks us to help those who are in need; He can help them with the best helps they need, no doubt about it. But He asks us because we are important beings in this society as well.
So, I think that's the shit. The next time some pesky, nosy person ask you a question, don't lose temper. Answer him. More than the understanding he needs is the answer only an important person like you can provide.
And the next time someone asks you to do a favor, or do something, give it a try. Sometimes only you have the capacity to do it. That will make you stand up against everyone. It's for you.
