calibre 49.5

hehehe... i'm serious. i mean it when i said i'm not agreeing in my group's giving away of a grade like 49, that's why i gave up additional half point, making it 49.5.

a grade too high for a group i commented so much negatively in? well, i almost gave the group's perfection. ako nga lang ang nagbigay ng ganun kataas. naiintindihan ko ang ibig nilang sabihin na MALI ang grading system ko. nagbigay ako ng 49.5/50 na grade sa group na tinadtad ko muna ng negative comments. masyado daw akong mabait.

masyado ba akong mabait? or is it that everyone else has just become bitter and vengeful after whatever unexpected suffering they got, that they had to pull down the group for having the simplest errors in the world?

i, as the group's representative was asked to make our judgment, just as what the other groups are ordered as well. i-recap ko nga 'yung lahat ng points ko:

1) the performance was very good for having a unique presentation - a combination of actual dramatization plus a video presentation. no one else in the class was able to make it yet, and so i believed they exerted the best times and efforts making the best out of it.

2) the video presentation is very clear in a way that the sound can be clearly understand. may mga video presentations po akong napapanood kung saan palpak ang sounding, either malayo ung mikropono sa nagsasalita or wala nang mikropono, malayo pa 'yung camera sa speaker kayo ngongo 'yung kinalabasan. but the video sounded well. maayos. walang sabit. walang noise. free from any distraction.

3) although the internal sound was good, the way they presented the external sound is not that good. patungkol 'to sa manipulation nung computer speaker - minsan mahina, tapos lalaksan, tapos hihinaan. hindi constant. hahabulin mo ngayon 'yung tunog. kahit na 'yung sound na lumalabas sa speaker is undoubtly clear, the way they manipulated the speaker is bad.

4) dubbing is bad. okay 'yung part nung isang member since tugma 'yung buka ng bibig niya sa video dub. pero the rest, since hindi kabisado yung sinasabi sa video, nahuhuli, nauuna, parang ngumunguya yung buka ng bibig. i made my recommendation: either kabisaduhin nila 'yung buong video for a better dubbing, or TOTALLY hindi kabisaduhin to portray a dubbed telenovela effect.

i gave my grade: 49 according to my groupmates. i don't agree with it, so i am raising it up to 49.5.

not what i am thinking:

1) what made me possibly wrong? siguro the moment na sinabi kong "hindi ako agree sa 49", then they expected that the grade i will give is even lower. e kaso hindi. tinaasan ko pa, that it almost reached the ceiling. so everyone was shocked - ang dami kong points for improvement but still i raised the grade to a higher one. ironic right?

2) ang taas ng grade na ibinigay ko matapos akong mang-okray. hehehe.... hindi ako nang-okray mga kapatid. i also said to myself that whatever i commented aren't point for improvement, but points for encouragement. kung babasahin mo uli ung mga naisaad ko sa itaas, napaka-minor lang ng mga problemang nabanggit, too small na hindi halos yun tuluyang makakapekto sa pag-eenjoy/pakikinig/panonood namin.

3) kung matatandaan ko, mas matitindi pa nga 'yung comment nung buong klase sa presentation namin, and still we got the perfect score 50/50. how come that this group has almost minor problems got a total 44/50??? my classmate (which happened to be the pertained group's kuya) clarified to me na "mataas ang expectation ni bise sa succeeding groups, because we (my group) set the bar too high".

4) kung meron mang major errors na hindi ko nabanggit sa comment ko, sigurado akong hindi ko 'yun nakita. o kung nakita ko man, hindi ko 'yun napansin. kaya hindi dapat scope ng pagbibigay ng grade ang mga unseen/unnoticed errors. nagbase ako sa mga nakita ko, and i concluded that these faults i and my groupmates saw were too minor to give them the low grade bise expects us to give. this is done in a group opinion, and so the way i gave them their grade is acceptable, reasonable and objective.

5) i wish kasing tapang ko si jerome. siya kasi 'yung kaklase kong malupet in a sense na kung ano ang sinabi niya, kaya niya 'yung panindigan kulang man ang alam niya o mali man ang grammar niya. natuto kasi siyang mamuhay nang "walang pinagtitiwalaan" pag-apak niya dito sa maduming maynila. "trust nobody", ika nga. i wish kasing tapang ko siya, di sana kanina hindi ako nagmukhang talunan sa tirad pass. ang totoo, hanggang blog lang talaga ang hinaing ko. ang lamang ko lang kay jerome, charm, cuteness & elegance.

6) "'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony this life", sung by the band The Verve in their song Bittersweet Symphony. now we are crabs. now it shows we are crabs. and forever we will be as selfish as this shell fish (except that a crab is a crustacean).

7) "Everybody knows that something's wrong, and nobody knows what's going on", sung by Phantom Planet in their song Lonely Day. Yin and Yang. as this section evolves and grows, changes are undeniably inevitable. all of us know that, but none of us notice its occurrence. i think here is where the competition starts. professionalism, huh? bitchy worms!

8) i am sticking to my decision. you may laugh if you see bise eying this decision of mine while myself doing nothing. it's not because of pride, but due to how i see fair and unfair things goes. it's simple as a pinakbet without a mayonnaise.

9) now i'm prepared to back to the future. go get the fuck out of me, i won't change my decision. i stated my side fervently and i don't think defending it would make the issue clearer to those who have vengeful bitter veggies in mind. i shot my calibre 49.5, and i believe i hit the right spot. not in a bull's eye though. (bull shit?)

10) to my groupmates: i don't think i would still be eligible of giving the other (two) groups their grades, after bise aimed a target on me. mahirap nang makaltasan ang singkwenta. mahirap ang buhay ngayon. i may leave the things up to you, except where i think i should let my mind shot the bang again.

it's funny how people react, or the way they notice or ignore something. it's funny. that's all i can say.

way back 2nd year high school, i used to do the same things as what i would share this time. shall i call it a survey? or a Wow Mali segment?

before starting, let me first give you the descriptions of the smileys used in YM environment for familiarity of all:

FINDINGS & INSIGHTS

• different people react differently.

• 8 of 15, that's 53.33%, of the contestants are male.
• 6 of 15, that's 46.67%, of the contestants are female.
• 8 + 6 = 14. i have 15 contestants. the remainder 1 joined the game twice. from now on, let's consider the two entries of this contestant as different views.
• gender does not really matter on this survey.
• age doesn't matter as well.
  

• 12 of 15, that's 80%, of the contestants are under the course BS Computer Science.
• the 3 left, each sharing 6.67%, are under the course BS Behavioral Science, BS Information Technology & BS Information Management.
• 93.33% of the total contestants are under Technology courses. that means they are suitable for this topic.
  

• only 3 of 15, that's 20%, recognized that my YM's tra lai en niem attack is a hoax.
• while the rest, 80%, believed i got the attack!!!
• the 80% believers are all under technology courses.
• both the 80% and 20% were all comprised of my friends. i don't intentionally harm anyone's feelings.

• while it is true that "to see is to believe", many simply believe what they just plainly see. that means the statement "to look is to believe" or "to look is not to see" is more true.
• this survey isn't really a survey. i just loved to see how people badly react onto something. panalo na naman ako!!! ahehehehe...
